Piscène is a 360º circular environment realised with the choreographer Stephanie Tiersh. This videodance define a new body and its language, in conjunction with the dancers.
This animation developed its own language for the reconfigured bodies evolving on the site of the old olympic swimming pool in East Berlin, centre of intensive doping.
One of the aims of this animation was to obtain the most natural movement possible through the conservation of the original gestures. It gives this animation a living character impossible to render through synthetic graphics.
The video material contains 40 sequences of a total length of 24 minutes.
